Challenge yourself!
Eligible contestants:
- All current SCU students are eligible to participate.
- SCU Alumni are allowed to participate (alumni who graduated before 2000 must have a current SCU student in thier team).
- SCU Faculty are allowed to participate.
- Those people are not associated with SCU may participate if they have current SCU students on their teams.
- Those people who just graduated can participate without the need for a current student.
How it will work:
- A judging panel composed of professionals from the Industry & Academia, Industry Executives and Venture Capitalists will determine the winning teams.
- Winning teams will get guaranteed time with top Venture Capitalist firms in Silicon Valley.
Rewards:
- Monetary prizes provide by John Ocampo, a co-founder and Chairman of the Board for Sirenza
- $5000 for best overall business plan
- $3000 for most innovative idea
- $2000 in other prizes
- Exposure to professionals in Industry and Academia
- Exposure to Venture Capitalists
- A chance to work with multiple disciplines towards a common goal, and have your ideas recognized!
Preparation:
- Don't be left in the dark on where to start or what to do!
- EBA will be holding workshops during the Spring and Summer to get the teams ready for competition in the Fall
- Writing a Business Plan
- Writing the Executive Summary
- "Elevator" Pitches
- etc
Deadlines:
- Deadline (To Be Announced).
- Actual Competition will be held in Spring 2006.
