Speaker Information

What's involved in being a speaker at an EBA event?

EBA is about entrepreneurship and leadership

We do not like to constrain our speakers with certain topics. As a speaker, you have the freedom to present whatever you believe is most valuable for our students given your unique experience. We also prefer interactive Q&A between yourself and the students.

Common questions and topics are:

  • What were the most valuable lessons you learned when you started your first company?
  • Top ten pieces of advice for entrepreneurs
  • Top ten mistakes
  • Top ten Dos and Don'ts
  • I have an idea, what should I do about it? Where do I start?
  • Anecdotes of your startup ventures
  • Your career history
  • Your company's history
  • What were your expectations before entering a venture? What did you think after?
  • Top ten leadership characteristics
  • What kind of people do you like to work with?
  • What does it take for you to respect someone?
  • How can I impress you?
  • Top ten things to do early on in your career

Format and schedule:

  • Please send a brief background paragraph about yourself. This paragraph will be used to introduce you to the audience and for advertising the event.
  • If you have slides, please send them by email to one of the officers at least a day before the event (the officers will contact you before hand).
  • Please do not spend more than 15 minutes on the presentation, we prefer interactive Q&A between you and the students.
  • Please arrive at the specified room a few minutes early to prepare.

Feel free to contact us for more information, or to be a speaker.
